Match Report - 04 Jan 2025, Tiverton Canal Bowling Club Friendly Rink lost to Mid Devon Bowls Club
Tiverton Canal found themselves on the receiving end of a bit of a thumping on this occasion, up against a strong Mid Devon side it was always going to be a challenge. In truth we had just one rink that looked to be holding their own, 7-7 halfway through for Garfield's side but unfortunately, despite some very tight ends, they only managed to pick up one more single after the break. John's rink on the other hand, struggled early on with just a single scored until the tenth end. His side did somewhat better during the second half to come away with Canal's highest score but still fell short by some margin at the end.
Oh well, can't win'em all as they say but it was an enjoyable afternoon and good to get back on the green carpet after the long break and all the festivities.
