Match Report - 16 Jul 2025, Tiverton Canal Bowling Club Over 60s Blue lost to Exonia C
Blues came away empty-handed from Exonia today. Disappointing as both teams had chances, were up at times but unfortunately failed to hold on until the end. Rod, Chris and I started 8 up after 3 ends, fell back to 13 all after 15 ends and crashed out on 14 to 20 at the end. Alan, Peter and Barry had a closer game of nip and tuck and appeared to be turning the tide holding 18 to 15 by the 15th end. A late surge by Exonia saw them take the last 3 ends for 7 points giving them 22 to 18. My bowling was not helped by turning up with only 2 woods! So played the game with Rodney's spare size 1 rather than my usual size 5 - what a numpty..
