The afternoon started well - we found a parking space!! weather damp and muggy, green was an emerald colour and as other teams had previously warned, had some funny lines on it
KL rink started steady 4-4 after 5 ends, 7-9 after 10 then Seaton pulled away to lead 9-14 after 15 ends. last two ends provided an interesting finish - holding seven which opposition skip reduced to 5 gave us a 1point lead going in to the last end. We held 2, only for Seaton skip to trail jack for a four. Nearly, but not quite
LD Rink also started steadily, 3-3 after 5 ends and then bowled collective rubbish to be 4-10 down after 10. A tactical decision to take mat up and change length frustrated the opposition and we picked up 15 shots over the next 6 ends. Enough to give us some well earned team points overall
