Match Report - 02 Sep 2026, Tiverton Canal Bowling Club Over 60s Blue lost to Marina B
Blue's, in their own inimitable style, managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in their last game of the season at Marina in Dawlish. Barry, Peter T and Phill were leading 16 to 9 after the 14th end and appeared to have the game in the bag. Two 4's and 5 later they were trailing 16 to 22! Taking a final one was small comfort to end the game 17 to 22.
David Broomfield, Kevin Lower and I started well 6 to 0 after 3 ends. Overall we won on 9 of the ends but gaining the odd 2 or 1 couldn't compete with the odd 4 and 5 that we gave away. So a disappointing 15 to 21 at the end.
So no points this week, not that we needed them to stay up - no point in over achieving at our age...KF
